• I was performing an automatic upgrade to WordPress 3.7.1 on my site http://www.life-coach-directory.co.za and after a lengthy period of waiting for the upgradee to complete I got the following error message:

Warning: require(/home/lifecoac/public_html/life-coach-directory.co.za/wp-includes/date.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/lifecoac/public_html/life-coach-directory.co.za/wp-settings.php on line 110

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/lifecoac/public_html/life-coach-directory.co.za/wp-includes/date.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/lifecoac/public_html/life-coach-directory.co.za/wp-settings.php on line 110

When I try to navigate to the website now I get the same error message.

Can you give me some advice on this please?

try manually re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
Always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case.
