# Problem upgrading. Can't log in.

 * I just tried upgrading my old WP site ([http://davesink.com](http://davesink.com))
   and when I did, I get this message when trying to log in:
 * Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/53/32/3003253/
   web/wp-content/plugins/category-icons/category_icons.php on line 1047 and defined
   in /home/53/32/3003253/web/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1246
 * Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started
   at /home/53/32/3003253/web/wp-includes/wp-db.php:1246) in /home/53/32/3003253/
   web/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171
 * I have a backup of the site from before the upgrade, but I’d like to be able 
   to upgrade at some point.
    Any ideas what this message means and how I can fix
   it? Thanks!

 * Have you tried disabling the category-icons plugin? I think that’s what causes
   the error.

 * Problem is the plugin Category icons. Access the filesystem of your website, 
   navigate to Plugins and rename category-icons to something else e.g.xx-category-
   icons

 * Thanks for the quick responses, Bryan and staartmees. I’ll give it a try and 
   report back.
    Also, every post has a huge amount of space before the content.
   We’ll see if the Category icons plugin is responsible for that as well.
