Hello

I’ve been adding products to a woocommerce website, music files mainly using the Music Player for Woocommerce plugin. Today I went to add more files and noticed that WooCommerce was due for an update so I dutifully started the update option. Only to get this error message:

Update failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_MISSING_FILE (-4) : Missing archive file ‘/tmp/woocommerce.5.4.0-kzAFWM.tmp’

Can anyone tell me how to fix this

Hi @axiom28,

As this is a hosting level issue, I would suggest that you get in touch with them first to look into that tmp directory issue.
Alternatively, in case you’d like to give it a go on your end, you can try using this fix https://wordpressdeveloperonline.com/fix-wordpress-missing-archive-file-or-download-failed/

Hello

My apologies for the delay, the issue did get resolved,as it turned out the host had moved to new and faster servers, unfortunately they were not set up correctly. Once that was done everything work 100%.
