I have WP, Hueman theme and Polylang based multilingual site (http://androidtablets.com.ua) and I’m having problem with translating of site header and sub-header, set in Hueman theme. The problem seems to appear after updating to WP 4.5 and then to 3.x.x version of Hueman theme (http://presscustomizr.com/hueman/ and https://wordpress.org/themes/hueman/). With previous versions of WP and Hueman I was able to translate header and sub-header with Polylang without problems. Now these strings don’t appear in strings list and I can’t find the way to translate them so far.
I asked Hueman support to help me here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-translate-the-blog-heading-and-sub-heading-in-multilaguage-site?replies=6 and I’ve got a recommendation to add header and sub-header as a text in functions.php. I did, but Polylang still doesn’t see any of the Hueman strings.
I also tried pll_register_string in functions.php and the strings appear in the list and I can translate them, but still no translations. The only thing I can get with pll_e is the translations of my header and sub-header as a plain text at the top of page.
I believe I miss something, but I can’t figure out what exactly.
