# Problem transferring from localhost to webserver

 * I have been building a site using WP as a CMS on MAMP on my desktop and now its
   all working I have changed the config file, uploaded it and uploaded the databse.
 * The homepage looks fine but all the other pages, the permalinks dont work and
   Im not sure how to fix it. Its connecting to the database fine because it gets
   the homepage and the admin area ok.
 * Has anyone ever come across this before?

 * did you try resetting the permalinks?
    admin – settings – permalinks

 * When permalinks are set the links dont work. When they are the default setting
   it works fine. I really need the page to be set on permalinks and Im not sure
   whats wrong!

   how to do this?
