    Hi,

    about the cookie banner:

    1. Automatic links

    PROBLEM

Complianz creates automatically two links within the cookie banner: Cookie Policy and Impressum. I do not need the cookie policy link and it only links to an English version of the cookie policy and ignores the chosen language (polylang). Furthermore the “impressum” link links to the start page (in all languages). No idea if I made a mistake somewhere or it is “hardwired” by complianz.

    SUGGESTION

Either make those links optional (checkbox) plus a possibility to add an URL Or much better get rid of those at all. The users know much better what links have to be shown in the cookie banner (according to GDPR and local modifications) and you thankfully gave us already the possibility to use the integrated HTML editor for the banner message. With this help I added the essential link to the “privacy statement”.

    2. Order of Buttons

    PROBLEM

I used CSS to change the buttons order and it works without a problem, but I can imagine that not every user can do so without having to dig into it or maybe just gives up. Also I did not need three buttons, but just two, again no problem with CSS.

    SUGGESTION

Give us an option to choose how many buttons and in which order.

Thanks again for your great plugin and support!

    Hello @httpscore,

1). You can duplicate the page and translate with PolyLang, as described in this guide: https://complianz.io/translate-legal-documents-to-multiple-languages-with-polylang/. Cookie Banner can be translated by using String Translation. We don’t do anything else with the language, this is handled by the multilanguage plugin.

The Cookie Policy link is required by law, therefore there is no option to disable it. It can be done with CSS, but we would advise against it.

2). We do understand the need/desire to customize the number of buttons and their placement, and have created different Banner Types for this purpose. However, certain customizations such as removing the Deny button, do not comply with GDPR. This is the main reason why there is no setting in the plugin for these customizations, as we do not offer clearly non-GDPR-compliant settings out-of-the-box.

    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi @httpscore,

I hope my earlier answer clarified the issue(s) described in your original post, so I’m closing this thread for now. Let us know if you have further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
