Support » Localhost Installs » problem starting site in localhost

  • Hey, I made a site on my own computer last year. I could execute by a localhost Xampp Apache 7.4.3.
I changed the Xampp Apache version to 8.0 for reason to run an other cms. The I re-installed the old one Xampp. I can not start the WP-site anymore.
I am not a specialist in this matter.

  • Are Apache and MySQL running on their default ports (or if on custom ports, have you taken this into consideration in your WordPress config)?

Are you able to get a basic HTML file served by Apache?

What sort of error message do you get when you try to open the WordPress site? Can you share a screenshot?
