    Hi,

    We just updated from 1.4.7 due to not being able to save (getting the same error message as previous people). When updating to 2.0.2 we can save the cookie information, however we are not able to acutally activate the banner. No error message appears, the checkbox just unchecks itself when the page loads. We have solved it for now by switching back and forth between the versions doing what we can in each of them. But we are not able to activate the different cookies as preset.

    Regarding activating cookies as preset, if we turn them “on”, are they set even if the visitor has not click accept in the banner? Or will they be set when they do so?

    Thank you for an awesome plugin and thanks for your response!

  • I have the same problem.
    After updating the content, I could activate it from the database.
    SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name like “gdpr_%”
    gdpr_enable_privacy_bar=1

    I have the same problem with WP 4.9.6 and 2.0.2.
    Unfortunatley I do not have success with editing in Databese described by @quiqueweb.

    Can you try deactivating and activating again?

    Hi,

    Yes we did so but it, as well as the other plugins we hade on the same site, but it did not solve the issue… Seems like more people are having the same trouble though, could it be more than “random”?

    What error message are you getting?

    Hi Fernando, so with the new update 2.0.8 it seems to work just fine! 🙂

    About my second question regarding activating cookies as preset, if we turn them “on”, they are set even if the visitor has not click accept in the banner.. Shouldn’t they actually be blocked until they are acceptet regardless if we have them on by default (not as mandatory, but the visitor can uncheck them in the popup window).

    The only cookies that are set are the required ones. If any other cookie is being set, is because the helper functions provided by the plugin were not used to block those.

    Hi, I looked at the link you sent and managed to put it all in correctly. Works beautifully now!

    Thanks Fernando!
