Problem removing plugins and themes

Hi folks, I am serving a small personal site from my desktop. When I’m on my wordpress site (alexlindsay.info), and I try to uninstall plugins using ssh2, I always get this error: “The connection was reset.” and the plugin is not deleted. I can install plugins just fine. Also, when I try to delete themes, I get this WordPress error that says: “Cheatin uh?”, but the themes actually do get deleted. Can anyone offer an explanation? Obviously since I serve the site from my desktop, I can manually go in and delete the plugins, but this wouldn’t help me if I wanted to do so remotely. I should say I would like to be able to do it remotely using a web-browser. I could also do it remotely using ssh from a terminal, but I’d like to be able to do it from a browser too.
