Problem Opening “Plugins” Page in Admin

  • I have an odd problem. I installed WordPress, then a theme, tweeked the theme and downloaded some plugins. The plugins all seemed to download okay. In the process of activating them, I suddenly started getting a 404.

The directory is there, CHMOD 755, all the plugins are in the folder (and the ones that I activated seem to be working).

When I hover over “Plugins”, I see the filepath as mysite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php .. which doesn’t seem to be correct. When I type in mysite.com/wp-content/plugins , I get the plugin directory tree. Then when I type in mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/hello.php, I get a blank page.

Am I doing something wrong or has something corrupted this directory .. or deleted a file?

All the other menus and functions seem to work just fine.

    Have I pushed a button I shouldn’t have pushed? 🙁
