I did double check the username and password for the mysql database and they are correct. I copied and pasted the username, hostname, db name and checked to make sure the password was absolutely correct. I just thought we were encountering the same install script issues and I have nowhere to begin to fix the issues. Dreamweaver messed up some pathing when i accidently hit update after renaming the directory the wordpress bog lived in from wordpress to blog. Then dreamweaver asks to update and i said yes, which i should have said no. It’s very confusing. I do have an interesting question about the database. How does wordpress know where to find it? * I have the proper db name and username. I have the proper password. But, how does wordpress know where to find my database? Maybe that’s the issue. * I have wordpress installed on my server and the database is all the way across on the other side of the internet on a site where I have unlimited space. * The only thing I see in config.php is to make sure the database name and username are correct. The host name is localhost.
