  • Resolved Ricsca2

February 27 I open my site, I insert it in search consol and everything is fine for google.
On March 2nd google console informs me that almost all my posts have the noindex tag.
Both wodpress and yoast are set to send data to google.
Today you released the 2.9.1 dove update in your article
in the first lines you talk about updates for the noindex tag.
Could the problem have been caused by yoast?

    Thank you

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the noindex robots meta on your website. We can confirm that what we are talking about the noindex robots meta in our release post isn’t related to what you’re referring to here.

WordPress recently introduced a native built-in noindex hook and that we have used programmatically in our plugin to have better control over the website.

That said, we looked at your site and couldn’t find any noindex robots meta at all.

So, if you have already removed the noindex robots from your website, you’ll need to wait until Google recrawl the website and that shall fix the issue for you. Depending on the website, it may take either 24 hours to a few weeks.

Alternatively, you can manually request Google to reindex all the available pages on your website. You can find more information about this here:

We’re glad to hear you updated to the most recent version of our plugin. Please do monitor the results from time to time. Since we don’t see any noindex tags on your website from the Yoast SEO plugin output, we would assume that eventually, your website should be able to be indexed and show in the search results.
