I recently duplicated my site on a new domain for testing purpose.
I downloaded all the files and Data Base (DB) from existing site.
Uploaded all the files to the new site’s server and new DB.
Changed the “Site” and “Home” in the WP-option in DB and configured the wp-config.php file for the new location also.
The problem is it keeps re-directing me to the original site’s registration page for some reason. (Not original site’s home page but registration page)
I am 100% sure I did everything according to the standard domain migration procedure. (Before I activated the MU function, I did exactly the same and it worked fine).
I also tried to change the
define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘MY OLD SITE’ )
define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘MY NEW SITE’ )
from the following section in WP-config.php
define( ‘MULTISITE’, true );
define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, true );
$base = ‘/’;
define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘MY OLD SITE’ );
define( ‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/’ );
define( ‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
define( ‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
but it did not work and the browser says
“Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”
What am I doing wrong?
