But today I got a different menu I haven’t seen before: * _ARE YOU HUMAN? We have detected an increased number of attempts to access this login page. To help us keep this website secure, please let us know that you’re not a robot by entering the text from the captcha below * A short captcha box when I can enter either text or number. Everytime I put in the correct code I get: * _It looks like the code you’ve entered is incorrect. Please try again._ * So now I can’t log into my admin area. I cleared my browser caches – what next? * How do I fix this? Rename the plugins folder to disable all of the plugins and try to login. Once you are back in you can rename the folder back to Plugins and sue the plugins panel to reactivate them. There might be a security plugin causing this. In future just rename files and folders while troubleshooting. We have to find out where the recaptcha is coming from. What I’m going to do tonight is back up the past month of blog post and delete the current wp installation and install a new wp. I recently changed host – I used to be on hosting.co.uk now I’m on heart Internet. Its easy to fix once you get back in. The pages will load if you go to Settings>Permalinks and click save. This will create a new htaccess file. * If you can in from work then it shows that your home IP is being blocked. I can now log in and I backed up everything.
