problem installing WordPress: hangs

Hello, I am having problems installing WordPress on the Microsoft Azure server. When I publish it, it correctly asks me to type in the set up information (admin login, email, etc.), but then after I press submit, it hangs/does nothing for about 5 minutes. After about 5 minutes it returns a generic error “502 – Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway”. I’ve been working with Microsoft support and they turned on PHP logging, but this did not report back any errors. Is there any other type of logging that can be turned on to help debug where the problem is occurring? Thanks.
