Problem installing theme in Wampserver wp installation (2 posts)

I am trying to upload/install a theme into a wampserver 2.1a installation on my Windows 7 workstation. I'm trying to setup a test server for my site development. I've installed version 3.0.4 of wordpress into this server. After browsing to my theme's zip file and clicking 'Install', I get the following error:

"The uploaded file could not be moved to C:\wamp\www\wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/12."

Any ideas or suggestions? Note how some slashes are "\" and some are "/". Is this a problem?

My guess would be file permission see http://www.wampserver.com/phorum/read.php?2,50223 change uploads to 755 or 775, worse case scenario 777. Since this is a local server you may bump a notch.

Slashes are as usual, from C: all the way to WordPress files (any php script) will be backslash and normal slashes after that.

BTW I found http://www.apachefriends.org/en/index.html bit easier to work with, but that's only my personal preference ;)
