Problem in Step 4 installing Worpress lcoally on Mac with Mamp

    Hi everybody,

    I followed the process described on https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_Locally_on_Your_Mac_With_MAMP
    but I have a problem in Step 4.

    In Mamp I configured MY /MyUsername/Sites/Wordpress as root and the port is 8889
    I downloaded WordPress, unzipped the folder and copied all files to the MAMP document root.

    Now the Step 4 should be “Visit your local site (localhost:port or localhost:port/wordpress)” and I typed http://localhost:8889/Wordpress in the browser. As a consequence a file is downlaoded called WordPress and it contains the following text”J
    5.5.42 {o=|~#/`ˇ˜ÄvSy*b2oYRkHdmysql_native_password!ˇÑ#08S01Got packets out of order”

    Would be great if anybody could help me with this matter. Thanks a lot in advance! Fabian
