Problem in installing WordPress as sitename.com/blog

    While installing wordpress on our site we came across an error where we couldn’t make the installation of WordPress on sitename.com/blog work. It gave out a 404 error. According to the hosting service provider the issue is with the config file. And if we disable the config file, the blog works whereas the main site stops functioning. The code is C#.

    While we installed the WP on blog.ovonts.com sub-domain it is working fine.

    Has anybody faced this issue before. Any solutions?
