Support » Fixing WordPress » Problem in changing my site to new server

  • Hi,
I changed my server. So, I manually downloaded the contents of old server to my new one and I imported the database of old to new server. When I load my site, it loads homepage well but no other pages are getting loaded. It shows as below. Please tell me how to do it properly.
    Not Found

The requested URL /our-projects/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/ Server at Port 80

  • try xCloner plugin
    it saves the long job

btw this looks like a permalink error, u can try re-saving ur permalink configs in admin panel

    Thankx a lot..

just suffered with the above problem, and then I realized what I happened.

    Got the same:
    Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/

and I couldn’t figure out what caused it, so I re-installed wordpress and went through all the steps again before realizing this happened right after I switched from the default post name to Post name

it then said that it didn’t have access to .htaccess file…and then I realized I didn’t have one…so just make sure that there is one there and that wordpress can write to it.

That’s what fixed it for me, hope it helps someone out there =)
