theme does not contain the file category.php
Do you have an archive.php file? If so, place a copy in the WordPress pastebin. Failing that, a copy of index.php.

There’s nothing wrong with your archive.php file. But it’s also obvious that your blog isn’t using that file to display categories (which would be the normal assumption if you don’t have a category.php file in your theme). So I’m afraid I have no idea how your theme is configured but something is obviously broken. I’d suggest you contact the theme author.
