# Problem importing with codification

 * Hello,
    I was on Dreamhost for a few years, and now I’m on Mediatemple. So, I’ve
   started to export things from the old server to the new.
 * All was ok, but only a thing, I tell:
 * 1.-On the old WordPress, I’ve set on the admin codification to UTF-8, but on 
   the general view on the Php Admin it says “latin1-swedish”. All was ok.
 * 2.-On the new WordPress, I’ve imported all on latin1-swedish and set WP to UTF-
   8. But…it’s not OK. On the web all the accents are ok, but on the feed there 
   problems. For example, “andrés” is “andr??s”
 * … ¿Can anybody help me?

 * Try to delete these two lines from your wp-config.php file:
 *     ```
       define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
       define('DB_COLLATE', '');
       ```

 * You are mixing two different things!
    encoding is – utf-8 **collation** is – 
   latin1-swedish
 * 2. I looked at your feed and it seems to be OK. Show an example where it is not
   OK!

 * On web it seems ok, but when you look at the feed from Google Reader, Vienna 
   or similar… it appears accents… try!!
 * For example: Andrés appears Andr??s

 * Actually, that `Andr??s` appears only on a non-existent, empty posts made on 
   Nov 2. Nowhere else, at least in my Google Reader.

   ok.

 * No… it’s not ok.
 * A friend on Vienna told me it was ok, but on Google Reader i see almost the same
   problem.

 * Problem was on the f**** Feedburner. I delete and star over the feed and it was
   OK…
