I am using Adminimizer to hide unwanted fields within my WP website, mainly in the user profile.
Out of the 15 fields, I want to lose: Keyboard Shortcuts, Toolbar, Website, AIM, Yahoo IM and Jabber.
Looking at the page script, (F12 in ie should be viewable on any WP site)I can see that they are split up over 3 separate tables, each with the same class name of “form-table”. No ‘id’ or ‘class’ name for each ‘tr’ or ‘tbody’.
Using ‘#your-profile .form-table tr:nth-child(N)’ how would I overcome the problem of for eg. ‘nth-child(5)’ deleting both nickname in the 2nd table and Jabber in the 3rd? both have the nth-child number 5. The numbering starts afresh for each table. I’ve tried adding numbers for eg to ‘form-table but that doesn’t work.
I see this as being not just a query to my site using adminimizer but to all as it’s within the user profile so no script or link included. I have not been able to find an answer to it so would appreciate any help.
I have not a core solution for this requirements. You can use the css selektors to hide content with Adminimize, but not more. On different parts I use the default WP Core functions to remove areas, but this is not always possible on all objects.
