Support » Fixing WordPress » problem : define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );

  • Hello
    After changing my administrator account to ensure security, I see new panels appearing. One shows a problem I am not able to solve :

    the security updates are disabled define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', false );

    I understand I have to swich on “true”, but how can I do that ?
    By searching during a long time in my admin panel (in my hoster’s website), I have finally found a page named : (mywebsitename) / httpdocs / wp-admin / includes / class-wp-automatic-updater.php
    It seems that the problem lies there. BUT, there is so much code, it is so long and complicated that I am unable to solve the concern.

    Could you please give me a simple solution for a beginner ?
    Thanks in advance.
