# problem creating a new Page

 * When I tried to create a new Page I got:
 * Warning: Unexpected character in input: ‘\’ (ASCII=92) state=1 in /wordpress/
   wp-admin/edit-page-form.php on line 134
 * Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /wordpress/
   wp-admin/edit-page-form.php on line 134
 * What can I do ? I want to create Pages!

 * If you haven’t modified that particular file yourself, please grab it again from
   the the WP .zip or .tar.gz file and upload it again. Is this the only error you
   get when creating posts/pages?

 * what theme are you using do you have htaccess set to write? have you done a search,
   I guess the answer is yes 🙂

 * I haven´t modified the file and I´ve installed everything up and again. This
   is the only error I´ve got so far, but I´ve just started trying WP out. I have
   no problem creating posts. I get the message when hit the “Write Page” tab. IÂ
   ´m using the default theme on wordpress 1.5 downloaded today. I´m not sure what
   htaccess set to write means. But I havn´t done anything but installing! I find
   WP very nice and do not want to give it up right away. I am greatful for any 
   suggestions about what to do.

 * Your `wp-admin/edit-page-form.php` is somehow corrupted in your download. I’d
   chunk the ZIP file and redownload, then upload that file to your server.

 * I might have solved the problem. I´am not sure of what I´ve done. And for sure
   I don´t understand. I deleted most of line 134 and also a lot of line 21. It
   looked like there was adresses from my desktop computer that shouldn´t be there
   since the system works on a host server. Do hope I have not deleted something
   I shouldn´t. But it seems to work OK now. And it was fun doing somthing I can
   not do!
