I can see you have some css about the products grid overwritten in your child theme. Please consider remove it and change the number of products per row from 3 to 4 to achieve the same appearance of products in the homepage.

About the number of items displayed, we tested the plugin you use to add the grid/list, the number of items was working fine even prior our compatibility… you can read more here: https://github.com/yithemes/yith-proteo/issues/32
Which version of the plugin are you using? This way I can test it properly

removing some from child theme worked. However, the plugin still does not work properly. Correctly changes from grid to list, but does not change the number of displayed products. The plugins are the latest version but free. Maybe it’s a cache problem? But if so, I don’t know how to fix it 🙁
Meanwhile I’m testing the new plugin version, consider remove the option to display the number switcher and configure the number of product to display from Customize > WooCommerce > Produt Catalog > Products per Row and Rows per page

ok, so far I have turned off the ability to switch the number of displayed products. I’m waiting for new information
