 * how to prevent my wordpress from auto-closing html tags and to show them correctly
   as they are written..
    i want to post some irc logs which are syntaxed as < nick
   > something,he said.. but wordpress gets it as a tag and doesn’t post it.. generally
   my problem is how to disable the html in the new articles..

 * You will just have to enter your angle brackets as html entities, eg & lt ; and&
   gt ; (without the spaces). Open your chatlog in a decent text editor and do it
   with find/replace.

 * I’ve found simply replacing just the < with &lt; works quite well.
