Support » Plugin: Appointment Booking and Online Scheduling by vCita » Probably a pretty nice plugin

  • This review is for the free version. vCita is probably a pretty nice plugin if you pay for the business plan at $40/mo http://www.vcita.com/pricing. When I look at the upgrades through the plugin I’m told I must CHOOSE BETWEEN the services listed under “essentials” package for the $25 price.
It looks really nice, and seems like it is functioning well on my practice site, however with all the restrictions on setting up my services I haven’t been able to make vCita work for even one of the three services I tried to set up. (I needed four but was restricted to 3). The only option I was given to use for online video conferencing was skype, which is not my preferred method, but I thought I could deal.
The clincher came when I tried to set up the times I was available for certain services. As far as I can tell the free version doesn’t allow me to even set my available hours past the default. Let alone set what hours I was available for certain services.
So, my thoughts are that if you have a VERY VERY simple set up and you just want to collect leads by hand, the free version MIGHT work for you, but it really seems like it’s just a downloadable advertising demo that shows you all the stuff you can do with the paid version.
I really didn’t have time to waste on TRYING to set up free software that is clearly only designed to be useful as a paid product. The only reason I’m giving this two stars and not one is because it looks like it could be a good product if you pay for it – could be because I can’t even demo those features on my free version.
