• I bought the Pro version and it successfully found thumbnails on a couple posts. But in general, it doesn’t work. I bought it so I wouldn’t have to continue finding jquery and php workarounds but now I’m spending time solving the problems myself again, which I’d like to resolve. I use videos all from the same source: my own, Premium account on Vimeo. All the videos are uploaded the same way, very little difference between them, in terms of their location and appearance.

The Troubleshooter for the plugin finds the thumbnails (via embed code) every single time. But I go back to the post with the same video and it can’t find anything. My thumb / media folders check out via Troubleshooter.

For instance this video < https://vimeo.com/94197047 > cannot produce a thumbnail via the plugin – but it does find one via Troubleshooter, no problem.

That’s the same for most of my videos. All from the same Vimeo account. Tho some work, as they’re supposed to, easy-breezy.

It’s only been 24 hours since I bought the plugin so maybe there’s a period of time where refunds are allowed? I haven’t gotten a response yet on a support ticket or an email, but maybe those answers will be coming soon. Otherwise I love this plugin in terms of its layout etc. But I wanted to not spend anymore time on this issue of finding thumbnails automatically… are there other solutions? Is there something I’m doing incorrectly?

After much trial and error, the issue appears to be Vimeo aliases. When you create an alias for your video, through normal Vimeo options, this renders that video untouchable by the plugin. So you have to find and embed the original default URL for the Vimeo video. Then it works.
