Pro Version: Custom Box?

    I normally ship using my own 8x8x3 boxes through USPS. Do I need the Pro version for this? Or does DHL ship by weight? Thanks I really want to try out your plugin as currently I only offer USPS shipping.

    Hi @theronin42 ,

    thank you for your message! The free version takes the sender’s address, the recipient’s address and the weight of the products for the cost calculation. Shipment dimensions are only included in the PRO version after selecting the Pack into custom boxes option and defining which boxes the plug is to use. However, we will soon be releasing a new live rate USPS plugin in both free and paid versions.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I guess what I am trying to ask is, with the basic version, I can use it fully on my webstore? Or to ask another way, the PRO version will choose the right combination of boxes for me – but to get DHL Express prices, it does not need to know what kind of box is being used only the weight?

    Is this accurate?

    Hi @theronin42 ,

    basically yes. The free version calculates the shipping cost based only on the weight. In the Pro version – you are able to set up Custom boxes with dimensions and the plugin will generate the best packaging configuration. If you will have some more questions – feel free to ask.
