    Hi Geoff,
Pretty Links will not work with Thesis GA tracking. You’ll need to use one of the listed plugins for GA in the settings. GA by Yoast is a good one.

Extended tracking just tracks more information about each hit. Such as referrer info, etc. Extended tracking can fill up your database quickly though, so you should avoid it. Actually, if you use a GA plugin to track your links, you can turn it to Simple click counting mode instead.

Hmmm one more reason for me to switch themes. Thanks.

Woooo, finally got off the Thesis bandwagon 🙂

Just to clarify: GA by Yoast has an option to track internal links as outbound (e.g. all /get/ links). Is this the same as “Enable Google Analytics” in Pretty link? Is it pointless to have both of these enabled, or do they work together?

If you have a link on the page and you have enabled that option in GA then it will be tracked. If you do that + enable the GA for the link in PLP, it could be tracked twice … I’m guessing 🙂

I’m pretty sure if you are tracking all internal links as outbound then you may not need to enable GA on your links in PLP.

But you may have to just play around with it a bit to be sure. Would love to hear what you find out.
