private vs. password protect

    maybe this is just a bad idea, but i am thinking of putting together my old personal journal along with my current live blog… I would password protect my old (personal) entries but now that I’m re-thinking this I wanted to ask: is it “safer” to password protect or to make the entry private? Or is there another option as far as using user levels??
