Private Tag Changes Background Color

  • I am using [private] and [/private] tags on my word press posts.

On my home page http://macrostory.com it has no impact on the background color but if I click the title of the post so that it populates the page with just the post then the background color around the text turns green.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    Thank You in advance-

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

Any other suggestions as I am trying this but spending more time trying to figure out how to work Firebug than troubleshoot the problem.

I imagine I have something like an open tag somewhere causing this green background but it only happens when I include the private tag.

please post a direct link to a post where the green background happens.

I imagine I have something like an open tag

then please post the code of the shortcode function – or which plugin you are using to get this shortcode.

(use the http://pastebin.com/ for any code longer than 10 lines – see http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code )

you might also want to check with the theme download site if you can get some support there as your theme is not freely downloadable.

Unfortunately my site is password protected and you can only see the problem being logged in but you may have pointed out the source of my problem. I am not using any plugin for the [private] tag and therefor perhaps I need to define the function of the tag? Just speculating here.

Would this explain it and if so any idea how to fix? Thank You –

Problem fixed had to add some code in the CSS to define the background for the private tag. Thanks for the help!
