Support » Plugin: GDPR » Privacy Policy consent also for not logged-in visitors

    Hi,

I have noticed that the Privacy Policy consent appears only when the users are logged on the website.

Is there an option to allow it also for not logged-in visitors?

Could a simple checkbox for that be added in some future release?

    Thanks.

What do you mean? The privacy bar that show up include policy consent and cookies. So you should be getting the privacy policy consent in there.

    Thanks for replying!

I will try to explain myself better:

    1. When a visitor (no login) comes to the website he sees the Privacy Bar on the bottom of the page – he can accept it directly and also change the cookies settings (On/Off)

    2. When a user is logged in, he sees first the re-consent Bar (or Modal Window depending which option is chosen in back-end) to first accept the changes in the new Privacy Policy page.
Only AFTERWARDS the Privacy Bar appears to accept the Cookies as in point 1.

    My question or request is:
would it be possible in the back-end to also activate the re-consent Bar/Modal for not logged in visitors?

    Thanks.

    It’s not possible.
Only logged in users will be asked for re-consent on policy update.

Would it be possible to add it as a feature in some future release or paid version of the plugin?

Yes. Can you make this request over on GitHub? I keep all suggestions there so I can easily add them to roadmaps and releases.

Thank you for considering this feature
