Also, the “Understand” button does not work on AMP pages.

    Thanks.

    Hello narinder912,
which AMP plugin are you using?

The official AMP plugin along with Mobile Theme from TagDiv and Newspaper Theme.

Please update this plugin right now, I pushed an update. Then the privacy link should be repaired.
In order to get the ‘Understand’ button working you have to do the following:
Go into your AMP Error index. Search for ‘js.js’ and ‘jquery.js’. Set both of them to ‘keep’. After that, please empty your site cache if used.

To give you some information why I can’t change it by myself:
AMP deletes all <script> tags from the website. But in this script (js.js), the handling for the notice bar is executed. So you have to manually enable this script. Also you have to enable jquery.js, because the script of the cookie banner uses jquery.

I hope I could help you!
If you have any further questions please let me know.

Thanks for the quick action. I have updated the plugin and like you said, the privacy policy link is working.

However, I have a doubt about the other steps. What happens to the validation of my AMP site? Will it still be valid AMP after I enable jquery.js? Or can there be some other issue?

Is it possible to hide the notice on AMP pages?

I am quite not sure about this. AMP pages are a very tricky part of website coding.
You could try my ideas from above and check at https://search.google.com/test/amp if its still a AMP page.
Please let me know about the result of the test.

If it shouldn’t be a AMP page I will find a way to disable the cookie banner on AMP pages.

    Thank you for everything.

But for now I will not be using your plugin. I will keep searching for an AMP compatible plugin.

    Best Regards
    Narinder
