    I've install this plugin via FTP, and with the built in WordPress installer. Each time, after installing, the privacy option is not listed under settings. I have the latest version of all components installed. The only active plugins are BuddyPress & Private BuddyPress. Jetpack is installed, but currently deactivated.

    Having the same problem. Getting

    Notice: add_settings_section was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 3.5! The "privacy" options group has been removed. Use another settings group. in wp2/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908

    in debug mode.

    Looks like they've moved it without bothering to mention anything.

    If you go to:
    Settings -> Reading

    some checkboxes now appear under the heading "BuddyPress Protection"

    Yet another example of muddled plugin interface in wordpress. You could at least match the heading to the name of the plugin, so we can dig around and find it.

    I imagine it would help if the screenshot were updated too. Still I'm grateful this plugin works in WordPress 3.5.1 and BuddyPress 1.6.4
