Hi all, I’m having an issue where the print button on my recipe is leading to a page with “Not Found”, instead of the actual print page. I searched the forum and saw that this might be an issue with websites using Plain permalinks, but I’m not using that format, so I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. Is there something I’m missing or haven’t configured correctly?

Other plugins in use (if that helps) are Instagram Feed by Smash Balloon, Official MailerLite Sign Up Forms, and Pinterest WordPress Plugin – AccessPress Pinterest.

    Thanks very much!

    Hi there,

You should with your webhost if they are blocking access. It looks like they’re not using the default WordPress .htaccess file because they are showing a server 404 instead of the WordPress 404.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

    Hi Brecht,

Thanks for the quick response! I’ll look into that now and see what I can find out.

    Thanks,

    Hi again Brecht,

Unfortunately it looks like I don’t have CPanel access with my current hosting plan, so I won’t be able to make any alterations to the .htaccess file. It looks like the print button works for me in your previous WP Ultimate Recipe Plugin, so if there isn’t any alternative fix I may switch to that one instead.

    Thanks!

Have you asked them if they can just change things for you?

You don’t have FTP access either? It should be possible to edit the .htaccess file there.

Hey Brecht – I did and unfortunately they said they couldn’t, and I’m lacking FTP access as well, as I chose a WordPress-only hosting plan (which I’m now regretting!). If that means there isn’t a fix possible I totally understand, no worries.

If it’s WordPress specific hosting then they should at least follow WordPress standards.

If they are not willing to look into/change this then I’m afraid I don’t think I can do anything about it.

Agreed, and unfortunately it looks that way. Thanks for trying though!
