    My site runs on cPanel.

Per Prime Mover, I have uploaded the backup to This page shows all the packages controlled by Prime Mover. This is the current site package path: /home/my_cpanel_username/public_html/wp-content/uploads/prime-mover-export-files/2/

I see it clearly in File Manager, but PM is not recognizing it.
The permissions were 644, I went to 755, then 777, now back to 644.

I note that File Manager lists the file as Type text/x-generic, which does not sound right, but when trying to View the file, it’s identified as a Posix archive.

I am really sorry about this…it’s not supposed to be difficult.

The restore has failed via browser upload to this point, but that may have been due to DNS/proxy issues.

Racknerd is working on this, too. Appreciate any solution.

I tried copying the file into the web root, no luck, does not show in the packages list.

    Hello Ken,

Thank you for using the Prime Mover plugin! Sorry to hear that you’re having issues restoring the package. If you don’t see the package, it may be that you have uploaded it to the wrong path or that it is corrupted (during your download from the source site).

To find out the problem, we would like to clarify the following:

1.) Please share the name of your WPRIME package.
2.) Is your target site for migration a multisite?
3.) Does this path exist in your target site server?

    /home/my_cpanel_username/public_html/wp-content/uploads/prime-mover-export-files/2/

You should only upload the package to the specific Prime Mover export directory at the provided path (not in the WordPress root).

    Cheers.

This was some kind of cPanel glitch that is just too painful to try to figure out.
cPanel was showing me the file in the correct folder in File Manager, but my host did not see it from their side.
