Primary menu Nav – menu alignment
-
Hi
I am trying to centralise and (if possible, bottom align too) a primary/top menu navigation
Been trying to do it in the header.php, but have also looked in style.css
site is http://www.face-uk.com
would like to centralise the menu containing (About Us, News, Contact us etc etc), but also if possible vertically have the alignement to the bottom of the white bar/block (i.e at the bottom of the financial advice centre logo)all the snippets of code I have found I havent been able to 100% get working.
many thanks in advance guys, would really appreciate support on this one.

Try:
#et-top-navigation, nav#top-menu-nav, #top-menu { float: none; } #et-top-navigation { clear: left; } nav#top-menu-nav, #top-menu { display: table; margin: 0 auto; }
where should i place that?
and in which file?
what do the } mean in wordpress/css terms code ?
If you’re not using a Child Theme, and if the theme doesn’t have a designated section of the dashboard for CSS modifications then install this Custom CSS Manager plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin
Then use its “CSS Code” section of the dashboard to hold your CSS modifications
Alternatively use your Child Theme style.css file to hold your CSS modifications
what do the } mean in wordpress/css terms code ?
Those are parenthesis characters, they are part of the CSS code
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/CSS/Getting_started
ok great.
that’s worked now, take a look face-uk.com
how would i make it slightly higher ? (you’ll see what i mean when you look where its positioned the menu) ?
You probably want to remove the above styles
how?
which bit? (apologies, just been struggling on this for couple of days now)
I misunderstood what you wanted, all of the code above doesn’t do what you want.
its done what i wanted, just want to be able to move it up a couple of lines .
