# Primary category option missing

 * Hi there,
 * since a while I can’t select primary category anymore from my backend. The option“
   make it primary” it simply not showing anymore.
 * I deactivated all the plugins and switched theme and the issue still there.
 * Any idea about how to fix it?

   functionality isn’t something that WordPress core provides by default. Typically,
   that functionality is added via a plugin such as Yoast. I’d suggest looking into
   which plugin was providing the functionality and making sure that plugin is enabled
   and is working properly.
