# Pricing strategy

 * I have used it for a year and it seems to work great so not sure why some want
   a refund when it’s heavily discounted….business aim is to stay in business is
   our motto.
 * I do have one complaint though….your pricing strategy sucks as you are charging
   for the base software and also plugins that have base functionality such as pdf
   viewer etc. I would say your base should be free perhaps even with less functions
   and make plugins cheaper then you will sell more as downloads from websites is
   not such a sought after technology any longer since S3 and many other sites. 
   Also there is no clear pricing discounts for renewing….in the age of so many 
   subscriptions that business pay these days the renewing should be 20% and no 
   more.

    Thanks for your suggestions, we could keep wpdm pro features as a separate
   add-on and that would make it look like your suggestion, but other than the “
   look”, everything else actually would be the same. Considering the overall scenario,
   for user’s convenience, we created several discounted packs ( ex: the special
   pack, e-commerce pack, all add-ons pack ) based on the use cases, and 65% of 
   our pro users are using those packs.
 * Also, we are continuously working on the improvement of each plugin we are providing,
   that’s why it is hard for us we reduce the renewal price. Also, other similar
   services don’t have a discount on the renewal price. But, for non-profits, govt.
   sites, edu sites we provide a special discount.
 * Again, many thanks for your suggestions. Please also let us know if you have 
   any suggestion to improve the plugin or you need any feature which is not available
   there yet.
