Support » Plugin: Import any XML or CSV File to WordPress » Previously deleted variable product wont import correctly again

I have been having problems with a particular product previously deleted not importing as a variable correctly, typically it will only import 2 out of 4 variations, and create them as simple products instead of a variable.

I have deleted the products, cleared the trash and reimported but the same occurs.

I searched the database for the product name and found it still exists in:
    wp_options
    wp_pmxi_posts
    wp_postmeta
    wp_posts
    wp_yoast_indexable

I’ve tried several database optimise plugins, but the product still exists in these tables. The site has thousands of products so its very possible I have ‘ghosts’ affecting other products that I dont know about yet.

My import options for “update existing products” is set to only update custom field “_stock”

    Hi @embercide,

I have been having problems with a particular product previously deleted not importing as a variable correctly, typically it will only import 2 out of 4 variations, and create them as simple products instead of a variable.

That’s pretty strange, and I’ll really need to check the import settings and logs to understand what’s going on (I’m not able to replicate it in my tests).

Please replicate this issue at http://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ and open a support request at http://www.wpallimport.com/support/ with the details.

Was there a solution to this problem
    I’m having the same problem
I delete and try again and bring the same thing as I used to

This issue is not expected behavior and isn’t something we can replicate ourselves, so the only way we can help with it is if it’s reproduced at http://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ and sent to us at http://www.wpallimport.com/support/.

@embercide I’m marking this as resolved since I haven’t heard back. Let me know if you still have questions about this issue. If anyone else runs into it, please start a new topic or follow the instructions above.
