If I change the question/answer to foo/bar from figlet/widget and check the “Email login URL to admin” box when saving, I am emailed the URL “figlet=widget” and NOT “foo=far”.
Is there a reason why the URL is given a “question=answer” parameter pair? Could it not just be:
on its own? Or perhaps a path:
The name/value pair just seems to make things more complicated for end users.
Also a suggestion: would it be worth running some JS on each page to change all instances of “wp-login.php” on the page to “wp-login.php/?q=a”? The bots are unlikely to run the JS, but it would give end users a more seamless experience.
