It might be one of the “joys” of being on a Win server… Nothing really work on them when it comes about the nice permalinks.

I’m going to be cheeky and bump this again…Currently it means my site has only 1 page in each category, since noone can reach “page 2” or “previous entries”.
Anyone know why my previous entries link inside categories leads back to the main page?
7 months gone so far… no answer to this question, and I currently encountered the same problem, as I am also running WordPress on a Windows Server.
The problem occurs not only with category archive pages, but also with date archive pages (eg. by month).
Accessing the (correct) permalinks with /index.php/category/xxx/page/2/ works correctly, but the navigation-link generating template tag strips all permalink structural info again, so page links will again result in /index.php/page/2/ (or …/3/ or whatever).
I thought 7 months is a long time to give the WordPress developers the chance for fixing up this problem in the sources. I think it could possibly be resolved by changing the code for that template tag (posts_nav_link), but my knowledge of php or especially the WordPress source is not sufficient for resolving it on my own. But maybe one smart “WordPresser” has an idea of what is going wrong after this bug description so he (or she) gives the final hint – or better: ensures that this issue will be solved with the next release 2.1.4?
Would be nice. I would like not to be stuck to those ugly ?p=x permalinks… (And, of course, there are several reasons why I use WordPress on a Windows but a Linux host.)
