• Hello,

    I just tried everything I could think of to translate those links in the front page and (following pages): po & mo, content.php, page-blog.php, and so on but nothing seems to work.

    I finally had to go to the CSS and insert a “display: none;” on the related lines…
    (I have a child theme of course)

    Could you please tell me where I need to go ?

    Best regards,
    Marco

  • Hello,

    Can you please specify which links are not translatable on the theme?

    If possible can you please provide a screenshot of the issue and your site URL so that we can monitor and fix your issue?

    Hi,

    Thank you for answering. Here is the site: http://amisdufestival-aix.org

    I displayed the link again (bottom of page) so that you can see it’s still in english despite my attempts.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

    Have you tried choosing your language from,

    Dashboard -> Settings -> General

    on the bottom you can see Site Language setting change it to your language which I presume is French.

    I hope this helps,
    Best regards.

    Yes of course, it has always been set on French.

    Hello,

    This is a strange issue you are facing, to solve this issue we will need you to verify the following things on your theme

    1. Since you are using a child theme, please verify that the parent theme is updated to the latest version.

    2. If it is updated to the latest version, please make sure the languages folder has fr_FR.po, fr_FR.mo and simple-catch.pot file.

    If these verification are made your theme will be translated.

    Hope it helps.
    Best regards.

    Hi,

    After checking and trying:

    – I carefully copied the code you sent but got an error message…

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in …/themes/SC-child/functions.php on line 12,
    line 12 being : function theme_change_comment_field_names( $translated_text, $text, $domain ) {

    – the languages folder actually has fr_FR.po, fr_FR.mo and simple-catch.pot files

    Very strange bug…

    Hello,

    Since you are having problem with the get text function I would recommend you to see the documentation and examples of it, so that you can solve your issue.

    And for the languages files, it seems like something is going wrong from your side.
    If you contact the official forum you will surely have an answer and they can solve your issue in just matter of hours.
