Preview of PDF doc/ebook

I have been looking for a way to show a preview of my downloadable pdf docs/ebooks on my website. There are some plugins that offer something similar with a thumbnail, but it’s not really great, some of them are not working properly. It does not nearly have to be as sophisticated as on Amazon or Scribd, but a simple three page scroll section.

Does anybody know of a plugin to embed a preview possibility for uploaded pdf files? Or will it have to be a custom coded feature?

Any suggestions are welcome.
