Preview not formatting correctly, i need help

The posts on my page are formatted, but the previews for them are not displaying correctly, I need to know how to fix this. My blog is a poetry website so everything must be formatted like so.

for example the haiku is formatted into a three line poem, yet in the preview it shows it all on one line and its really upsetting.
