Preview a new Theme

  • Hi
I´m using a modified default template, and liked to begin to create another one.
I create the folder, put all the files on it and begin editing, but don´t know how to actually “preview” my theme with the site.

I´d like to enter my site with the new theme on it while i customize it, but don´t make the change for all the users, justo for me

Is there a way to achieve this?
    Thanks in advance

  • Yes. If you go the Codex and look around in the Plugins section.
    Look for Preview Theme.

    Great! Thanks a lot

It´s strange that this is not a built in feature.

Who do everybody make to code their themes and test them?

    1. Local install (XAMPP)
    2. In a test directory live on a server
    3. With that plugin 🙂

I was looking for the same thing and found the Preview Theme plugin but it’s not working for me. I’m logged in as Admin but the page just refreshes and the theme set in Presentation shows up. Is there an alternative plugin or a way to fix this? Thanks!
