Support » Plugin: Redis Object Cache » Prevents WP All Export to create nacessary DB tables

  • Resolved mladja11

I was debugging this for a while, so now it is the time to ask you for help.

So, if you have Redis up and running and you want to install WP All Export, somehow Redis prevents WP All Export to create few DB tables and one field (client_mode_enabled).

If that field is missing, running an export generates a critical error. That is how I noticed that something is wrong.

After further exploring, I figured that this entire table is missing _pmxe_google_cats for instance, so I was not able to create Google Shopping feeds.

I’ve regenerated all this in the DB manually, and then everything started to work normally.

What worries me now is what will happen if an WP All Export update is released? Are possible DB changes going to be recorded? And what if some more plugins are affected with this?

After more playing on staging area, I figured that if I flush the cache right before I activate WP All Export, all DB tableas and fields are generated.

I talked to WP All Import, they advised me to report this to you.

So, what do you say? Why this is happening?

This is something the “WP All Export” team needs to fix on their end. We just provide an API for WordPress to talk to Redis.

OK. Thanks. I will let them now.

    Happy Holidays.
