Support » Plugin: Stop Spammers » Prevents Purchase

  • Hi,
I am using your plugin on a site where wp e-commerce and contact form 7 plugins are used. Buyers purchase using the above e-commerce plugin
where payment is made through Paypal.

I have received complaints for being obstructed to complete the transaction once they come back from Paypal after making the payment which prevents them from completing the transaction. I am sure they won’t be using any spam data when they are making payment.

The email address domains used for these transactions are

    – live.com
    – gmx.de
    – interloom.org

    Thanks

  • Disable the plugin to prevent lost sales and see if you can find an example in the log where the sale was rejected. I am white-listing paypal IP addresses so unless paypal changed their IPs then that should not be the problem.

I need to know why it rejects the return from paypal.

You could try disabling Speed, red herring, and a few other of the tests to see if it helps, but there is the danger that you lose a sale while you are experimenting and I don’t want that to happen.

Here I am pasting the data from log file. I have just placed * in place of the customer name for privacy purpose. Do let me know if this helped or not and what I need to do (without disabling) to avoid such problem in future.

    Thanks

The ip addresses and emails passed. My plugin should not have rejected them.

Status “Passed All” and “White List PayPal” so my plugin did not block them as far as I can tell. These return to wordpress without doing anything.

There must be another issue here.
