Preventing submissions with incomplete phone numbers

I’m using Contact Form 7 version 5.1
I added a phone number field as both tel and text field to test but both didn’t prevent submissions with less then 10 numbers. Am I missing something?[text* phone_number min:10 max:11 placeholder “Phone Number”]
